Mastering Phase 1 and Beyond for the Growing Patient
Course Description
Unlock your practice's potential by mastering clear aligner techniques for your younger patients. Enhance their lifelong oral health by confidently addressing their needs early on. Learning how to effectively treat children in the mixed dentition can maximize their growth potential ultimately leading to a healthy life. At completion of this course, you will be proficient at diagnosing and treating kids with transverse and anterior-posterior (AP) changes.
This comprehensive course will show expansion techniques with fixed expanders (Hyrax) and the new Invisalign Palatal Expander (IPE) combined with Invisalign First for mixed dentition. Teenage Class 2 and Class 3 occlusion cases will be mastered using Invisalign and Carriere Motion appliances. A thorough hands on portion is included to demonstrate how to successfully deliver Carriere Motion appliances with elastics.

Course Overview
Identify the importance of early interceptive treatment including diagnosis, cephalometric analysis and the timeline of treatment for transverse discrepancies.
Determine when skeletal expansion is needed and how to determine what cases are appropriate for Fixed Expanders (Hyrax) & Invisalign Palatal Expander.
Demonstrate how an airway focused philosophy can be implemented into a general dentistry practice using early intervention orthodontic techniques including habit correctors, myofunctional therapy and phase 1 appliances.
Master Invisalign First in combination or separate from other treatment modalities
Clincheck Design for growing patients and understand how it differs from adult patients

Dr. Andrea Ho-Fatt
Dr. Andrea Ho-Fatt was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. She went to the University of Western Ontario for dental school. She started her orthodontic journey in 2008 treating kids with functional appliances and early interceptive orthodontics. Dr. Andrea is a Diplomate of the AADSM and was in the first class of the Pediatric OSA residency at Tufts University. Dr. Andrea is a Diamond Plus Invisalign provider out of a single 6 operatory location and is passionate with creating healthy smiles using minimally invasive techniques with digital workflows. She is a member of the Align GP Advisory Board and is constantly testing and evaluating new products. Earlier this year – she helped launch the Invisalign Palatal Expander to general dentists.
Dr. Vitaly Gantman
Dr. Vitaly Gantman graduated from the University of Montreal in 2012. Initially using brackets and wires, he switched to Invisalign in 2017 after Dr. Galler’s REINGAGE course and acquiring his first iTero. A Diamond Plus Provider since 2020, he is now a Faculty member for Invisalign, offering comprehensive orthodontics to adults and children. Dr. Gantman actively teaches Invisalign integration and combination treatments, having treated over 2000 patients. He developed a predictable protocol using Hyrax, IPE, Invisalign First, Carriere Motion Appliance, and Invisalign Comprehensive Plans. Since 2022, he has led the Montreal Chapter of the AACA and offers 1-on-1 mentoring for Carriere Motion cases.
